Nature
Hardangervidda
In 1981 a big area of this mountain plateau became protected as National Park. The landscape is very varied. In the central and eastern parts there are open, almost flat plateaus, while in the south and west the area is broken up by high mountain ridges, reaching some 1700 metres in height.
